Melissa lives in beautiful Colorado with her husband Chris and her children Ryleigh, Issiah, Layden, and Athena. During the shutdown of the Pandemic she found herself with a lot of time on her hands and a big imagination. This was the opportunity to take the stories and share them with the world.
Melissa is a creative person who finds it easy to allow her imagination to take her children through fictional worlds while teaching them important life lessons. Her passion and love for expanding her children’s imaginations is evident in her children’s books.
As her children grew and bedtime story time stopped, Melissa found that she also loved adult fiction. The kind you don’t read your young children. The kind without boundaries. After having a dream and telling her family about it, she sat down and wrote her first adult fiction novel. Her imagination was allowed to create a compelling story from a small non-sensible dream.
As a human behaviorist, writing a chapter book was unfamiliar territory. However, ‘The Tales of Frederick Ze Frog’ and 'The Real Alien Invasions' were already deeply ingrained into her head. Frederic Ze Frog started when her son Layden (3 years old) found a small frog at a campsite and brought it home only to watch an eagle fly off with it. She spent the next 8 years telling the stories of the small frogs' adventures. And man did he have many, many adventures. On the rare occasions that their bedtime stories were not about Frederick ZeFrog, get children heard about themselves saving small Aliens after landing on Earth.
Before she started writing fiction books, Melissa studied to become a Certified Human Behaviorist in Australia and England. She has now taken from her life experiences and her education to help others experience a life of fulfillment, vitality, peace, and success. Melissa is a highly goal driven individual and plans on writing a book on the powerful tools to help you master the art of achieving your own goals.
Melissa enjoys scrapbooking, journaling, drawing, and educating herself about science and history. Most of all, however, she enjoys experiencing life with her family through travel and sports like Skiing and Tennis.
